Starting this September, we will be running a new Tuesday afternoon one-term online course focusing on the anniversary composers of the year:
Michaelmas Term 2023:
William Byrd and Thomas Weelkes
These two remarkable English Renaissance composers both died in 1623, but led dramatically different lives during one of the most tumultuous periods in their country’s history. Join and discover the magnificent Tudor and Jacobean music they created, from sublime sacred works to some of the most beloved consort music and English madrigals.
